Welcome to the Monday edition of the CCN Weather Update! I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend.
Yesterday we had the first measurable rainfall for Whiteville since March 16 as some showers and thunderstorms moved through. Some had quite a bit more rainfall than others, but every drop of it was beneficial — just not drought-busting.
And drought will return with a vengeance this week as there is NO precipitation in the forecast … at all … for the next 7 days.
It’s essentially a temperature forecast this week. A dry cold front will drop south over the area later Tuesday bumping our temps down for Tuesday night and Wednesday… before temps return to seasonal norms Thursday and Friday.
You’ll definitely need the sunglasses all this week as bright sunshine will dominate our skies.
