Here’s today’s Bottom Line

Greetings and welcome to the Thursday edition of the Daily Weather Update on Columbus County News! Thank you for taking time out of your day to check in.

Here’s our updated rain-free streak…

There’s a faint glimmer of hope for some rain in the short-term … a cold front sweeping across the area on Sunday might bring a few spotty light rain showers during the afternoon hours. Don’t get your hopes up, but someone might have enough rain on Sunday to run the windshield wipes once or twice.

Until the cold front passage, though, what we had yesterday is what we’ll have today… tomorrow… and Saturday with wall-to-wall sunshine. Highs will be around 90 today and tomorrow, and into the lower 90s on Saturday.

The front WILL (briefly) break down the ridge and allow some cooler temperatures early next week. We’ll actually go below normal for Sunday night, Monday, and Monday night, before temps return to seasonal normal values (mid 70s) on Tuesday. It’s going to be rather chilly Tuesday morning as lows could dip down to around 40.
