Kids will soon be out of school for summer break, and vacation Bible school submissions are rolling into the newsroom from area churches here at Columbus County News. If your religious organization would like to be added to the CCN VBS List for 2026, send in your church’s name, address, dates, and times for your event to ccn.cfaircloth@gmail.com.
The list will be updated each Tuesday, and all VBS submissions are published for absolutely free.
Antioch Baptist Church will have their VBS Junkyard Redemption on June 15-19 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. nightly. Everyone is welcome. The church is located at 1463 Antioch Church Road in Whiteville.
Beaverdam Original Free Will Baptist Church will have vacation Bible school June 8-12 at 6 p.m. each evening. The church can be found at 2665 Beaverdam Road in Chadbourn.
Cedar Grove Baptist Church will have the Illumination Station VBS with kickoff on June 6 from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. with a Water Fun Day. Bring a towel and church-appropriate swimsuits. Hot dogs and shaved ice will be served, and there will be fire truck rides and more.
VBS will begin June 7-12 with supper served at 5:30 p.m. each evening. March-in will be at 6:30 p.m., and dismissal will be between 8:30-8:45 p.m. The church’s address is 2372 Cedar Grove Church Road in Cerro Gordo.
Cherry Grove Baptist Church will have VBS on July 12-16 from 6-8:30 p.m. nightly. A meal will be served at 6 p.m. each evening. The church can be found at 9833 Swamp Fox Highway in Cerro Gordo.
Cornerstone Original Free Will Baptist Church will have the Junkyard Redemption VBS on June 22-26 from 6-9 p.m. nightly. Dinner will be served each evening. Kickoff service will be on June 21 at 10 a.m., and commencement will be June 28 at 6 p.m.

Crossroads Church will have their Paul and the Underground Church VBS on July 20-24 from 6-8:30 p.m. nightly. Dinner will be provided each evening, and children ages 3 to teens are invited to attend. Crossroads is located at 87 Southwood Road in Whiteville.
Engage Life Church will have their Rainforest Falls VBS on June 24-26 from 6-8:30 p.m. each evening, and Closeout Day will be on June 27 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. There will be a waterslide on June 27, so please bring a towel and clothes.
The event is for children from preschool to sixth grade, and preschoolers must be potty trained. The church can be found at 386 Thompson Town Road in Whiteville. Registration can be done at www.vbspro.events/p_early/17f4fb.
Faith Baptist Church will have two VBS sessions this year. The adult portion will be June 22-24 from 7-8 p.m. each evening, and the children’s classes for kids newborn to 12 years old will be held from June 29 – July 1 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. daily. FBC is located at 4262 Rough and Ready Road in Chadbourn.
Gapway Baptist Church will have the Trailblazers VBS on June 8-12 at 6:30 p.m. each evening. There will be Bible teaching, group discussion, worship, and activities for everyone of all ages. Gapway’s address is 939 Gapeway Church Road in Tabor City.
Honey Hill Missionary Baptist Church will hold Vacation Bible School June 7-11 from 6-9 p.m. each night. The theme this year is Illumination Station. Honey Hill is located at 6140 Honey Hill Rd., Hallsboro.
Macedonia Baptist Church will be having VBS June 14-19 at 6-8:30 p.m. nightly. Everyone is welcome. The church’s address is 100 Macedonia Church Road in Evergreen.
New Horizon Baptist Worship Center will have VBS from June 14-19 from 6:30-9 p.m. each evening. A meal will be served nightly. Everyone from infants to adults are invited to attend. NHBWC is located at 11316 Joe Brown Highway South in Tabor City.
New Life Community Church will have their Rainforest Falls VBS from June 15-19. Classes will be held from 6-8:30 p.m. each evening for kids and adults of all ages. The church’s address is 107 Maultsby Street in Whiteville.
Western Prong Baptist Church will hold their Illumination Station vacation Bible school from June 22-25 at 5:30-8:30 p.m. nightly. Participants of all ages from infants to adults are invited to attend. Each gathering will include a meal, music, worship, engaging small group Bible study, games, missions, and crafts.
