Here’s today’s Bottom Line
Bermuda high pressure remains locked in place offshore through the entire work week. Abundant tropical moisture is being pumped northward.
There’s not much change in the overall weather pattern this morning. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected every day this week… with the highest chances occurring Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with somewhat lesser chances Friday and Saturday.
Multiple pushes of tropical moisture will lift from south to north around the edge of Bermuda high pressure. This is the cause for the showers and storms.
Rainfall amounts are notoriously tricky to forecast in these kinds of setups. Several inches of rain are possible over any given location … but there’s the chance that some areas get very little overall rain as well. There is the potential for 6+ inches of rain to occur at any particular location throughout the course of the week.
Like I said, lesser chances for rain (but still at 50%) toward the end of the week into next weekend.
