East Columbus dominated the North Carolina 1A All-District 4 team by placing seven players to the squad, including District 4 Player of the Year Sara Coleman and Pitcher of the Year Amber Ochoa.

Joining Ochoa and Coleman to the squad were Kamora Bryant, McKenzi Clemmons, Gracie Coyle, Aliegh Godwin, and Jenna King. The East Columbus Softball team made it to the Eastern Finals before losing to Bear Grass Charter two games to zero.
Jason Nance guided the Gators to an outstanding 21-7 season and the Carolina Conference Championship.
Coleman was an offensive juggernaut throughout the season posting a .467 batting average while belting 11 homeruns and 39 RBI’s. Her fielding percentage playing catcher and first base were among the top in the state. Ochoa boasted a 10-3 record with a 2.23 ERA. Her batting skills were threatening too, with a .448 batting average. Her standout performances include a two-hit shutout against West Brunswick and a complete game victory against South Columbus.
