WHITE LAKE—A young man that goes by the name “Reidsville Red” came to White Lake to win this week’s Showdown at Sundown tournament.
The tourney is played every Tuesday at Goldston’s Putt-Putt Course. “Red” received the grand prize by posting a -4 for the victory. Colin King and Luke Gooden tied for second place at -3 with King taking the first hole of sudden death.
Next week’s event is at 7:45 p.m. on Aug. 4. The winnings and sponsors for each contest grows each tournament.
Next week the sponsors will be the Nissan of Clinton, Vineyard Golf of White Lake, San Jose of White Lake, plus Fayetteville Woodpeckers tickets.
