N.C. Secretary of State Elaine F. Marshall will be joined by small business owners, economic developers, small business advocates and others from Columbus County for a Business Roundtable at Southeastern Community College Monday at 2:30 p.m.
Marshall will discuss the Rural RISE NC initiative, which puts crucial resources in the hands of business creators early on. She will also detail new business creation data for Columbus County and discuss recent survey analysis of new business creators.
The Business Roundtable will be held at SCC Administration Building, the Beth Israel Synagogue Community Room, from 2:30-4. The college is located at 3563 Chadbourn Hwy., Whiteville:
Prior to the roundtable, Marshall will lead a “Main Street” Walk visiting local businesses. The business walk will begin at 1 p.m. at Mercantile on Main at 718 S. Madison St., Whiteville before proceeding to Seven Ten South Boutique at 710 S. Madison, Todd’s Clothing at 800 S. Madison, and Irene’s at 712 S. Madison Street.
