Here’s today’s Bottom Line
The remains of the frontal boundary will continue to bring low-end thunderstorm chances for today. A ridge of high pressure will then build into the area, cresting overhead by Wednesday-Friday. This will bring very un-September-like temps with heat index values dancing around the 105-degree mark.
Thunderstorm chances after today are only slight on Monday, and then near-zero the rest of the week. Highs will soar to the mid and upper 90s with heat advisories possible.
TROPICS: The remnants of Dolly continue to advance west-northwest. Conditions are expected to be hostile for redevelopment… but that does remain possible.
Another area of low pressure located over the northern Gulf has a little better chance of development within the next 5-7 days.
