WHITE LAKE—Brandon King took the final Showdown at Sundown Putt Putt tournament at Goldston’s Beach Tuesday night with a two-round score of 65.
The two-round event was the final tournament of the 12-week event during the 2026 season. Daren Wheeless took second place, defeating Kent Porter in sudden death on hole number two. Both gentlemen shot a score of 66.
Robin Bordeaux Smith took the women’s bracket with a two-round score of 74.
Daryl Davis, the organizer for the event stated, “This has been a great experience over the last 12 weeks. We enjoyed good competition and fellowship. I want to thank everyone that joined us and to our sponsors. I would like to give a special thanks to Jake Womble and to Goldston’s Beach for hosting the event .”
The sponsors for the final tournament were Vineyard Golf of White Lake, Lu Mil Vineyard, McDuffie Pest Control, Do-Right Carpet and Flooring, Ski Burger, and D’s Nutz. The 2027 season is tentatively scheduled to start in May at the annual White Lake Water Festival.
