Here’s today’s Bottom Line
There’s not much change in my forecast thinking from yesterday’s report. Modeling has come together with higher percent probability values. It’s not going to be raining everywhere all the time but it is highly likely that Saturday and Sunday will be impacted by occasional showers and thunderstorms.
There may be some isolated heavy rainfall totals over the weekend, but on the whole I don’t believe this will be all that significant.
Storm “mode” should be that of single cells with very little shear, resulting in very little storm tilt. Thus far the SPC does not have any of the area under a risk, so severe development is unlikely.
Thunderstorm coverage tapers off late Monday night after a cold front crosses the area. High pressure then ridges to our west resulting in dry conditions for the middle of next week.
