A man and woman were arrested on multiple fraud charges last week, according to the sheriff’s office.
Ryan Anthony Rabon and Christy Cribb Hilbourn were arrested after they allegedly took checks from Ed R. Cribb, obtaining $7,050 in cash in Brunswick County and $4,150 in Columbus. Both are being held under secured bonds, charged with multiple counts of felony forgery and uttering.
The pair allegedly stole several checks from Cribb, and cashed them in Brunswick and Columbus counties. The checks ranged in value from $350 to $3,500, according to warrants. The checks were stolen in May, the sheriff’s office reported, and cashed in May, June and July.
Rabon listed his address as 353 Williamson Rd., Evergreen. Hilbourn was living at the victim’s home on Alton Singletary Road at the time of the thefts, according to warrants.
