Gov. Roy Cooper and Sec. of Health and Human Services Mandy Cohen will host a video press conference at 2 p.m.
Members of several faith groups will be in attendance. Cooper announced earlier that the state is encouraging people to stay home for the Christmas holiday, rather than travel.
