Whiteville Downtown Development announced today that the NCSU Coastal Dynamics Design Lab (CDDL) will be back in the city Thursday as part of the ongoing flood print study. On this week’s trip, the team will assess elevating and/or floodproofing buildings in the downtown area. The team is requesting access into buildings whose owners would like to be included in the analysis.

The specialists will take interior measurements and photos to create recommendations for each building. The first drafts of these recommendations will be shared during their next in-town workshops to be held in August or September.

As long as buildings are accessible, there is no need to be physically present to meet team members, WDDC said. The team is available for brief meetings with property owners on-site.
