A Columbus County Grand Jury has returned a true bill of indictment against a man charged with having sex with an adolescent.
Christopher Mintz, 36, of 533 New Britton Hwy., Whiteville, was indicted for two counts of statutory sex offense on Nov. 8, according to court document. He was previously arrested and charged with the same crimes after an investigation by the sheriff’s office.
Mintz is alleged to have sex on more than one occasion between November 2022 and March 2023. He was arrested in May and released on bond.
He was taken back into custody on the indictments Monday and held under $50,000 total secured bond.
