The victim of a domestic assault Tuesday was taken to another hospital with internal injuries. Her alleged boyfriend is in jail under no bond.
Joshua Williams, 30, of 1309 Clyde Norris Rd., Tabor City, was charged with assault on a female and assault with a deadly weapon. He was held under no bond, according to detention center records.
Williams and his reported girlfriend, Elizabeth Gaddy, were arguing Tuesday when he allegedly struck her in the back of her head with his fist, according to a sheriff’s office report. After Gaddy fell down, Williams allegedly stomped and kicked her in the torso.
Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched just after 1 p.m. Gaddy initially refused EMS, but later went to the emergency room, and was transferred to another hospital with severe internal injuries.
Williams was processed at the detention center around midnight Tuesday. Gaddy’s condition was not available.
