Joyce Ann Hardee Newman, 70, of the Oak Dale Community of Whiteville, passed at her home on Tuesday, May 28, 2024.
Visitation will be from 5:00-6:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Worthington Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will follow the visitation with Minister Colon Carter speaking.
Joyce was born on August 11, 1953 in Loris, South Carolina, to the late Albert Lorenzo Hardee and Lucille Floyd Hardee. She was also preceded in death by her brother Clifton “Buddy” Hardee.
The surviving family includes her husband, Kirk Mitchell Newman of the home; children, Eric Alan Martin of Myrtle Beach, Jimmy Wayne Allen (Lisa Gore) of Ocean Isle, Wendy Teresa Allen of Chadbourn, Deborah Desiree Allen of Fayetteville; stepdaughter, Julia Kay Passaro (Mark) of Conway; brother Edwin Lorenzo Hardee (Debbie) of High Point; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
