Tabor City has a busy weekend of events planned for Christmas.

Thursday at 6 p.m., the Parade Through the Lights is set for downtown, followed by the lighting of the Living Christmas Tree at the town gate. Santa Claus will be in attendance, along with the South Columbus Marching Band, Iron Hill Youth Choir, and others. There are reports that snow is forecast for the gateway park during the event.

After the tree lighting, the Tinseling Tabor Bazaar will be open for local, handmade gift shopping. Chicken bog bowls will also be available. The bazaar will also be open Friday and Saturday.

Saturday’s flotilla has been cancelled due to a lack of entries.

The ever-popular Christmas Cookie Crawl is Friday from 3:30-6:30 p.m. Cookie boxes are available for purchase at the library for $7 through Friday.

See this week’s Tabor Talk column on this page for more information.
