A woman is facing felony child abuse charges after allowing an infant to ingest cocaine.
Kayana Yolanda Moore, 30, of 115 Marvin’s Dr., Chadbourn, was arrested just after midnight today (March 31) on charges of felony child abuse, causing bodily injury, and failure to appear. Her bond was set at $50,500.
The sheriff’s office reported that Moore was caring for the infant, identified only as KAM, on Saturday when the child accessed the cocaine. The child was transported to Columbus Regional. A condition report was not immediately available.
The relationship between the woman and the infant was not listed in arrest warrants.
