Dusty Johnathan Prince was trying to flee the devil when he allegedly vandalized New Life Baptist Church near Tabor City early Wednesday. Prince was found unclothed inside a church bathroom around 8:30 a.m. He told deputies he was fleeing Satan. Prince is being held under $20,000 secured bond, charged with property damage and breaking into a house of worship.

 

State Health Officials said Tuesday that Monkey Pox has been found in wastewater in two locations in Greenville. Mpox, as it is properly known, transmits through prolonged skin to skin contact.

 

Chadbourn Police Chief Ken Elliott is the latest candidate to throw his hat in the ring for the Republican nomination for sheriff.“I am not doing this for me,” Elliott said. “I want to do all I can to help our county. Everyone in our county deserves to be treated the same way – fairly, with respect and empathy.”
