After overwhelming response at two other distribution events, the Annie Catherine Pridgen Community Development Foundation (ACP) and the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, will host another food pantry event May 10.
A Pop-Up Market Food Distribution is set for Saturday, May 10 at 9 a.m. at Jerusalem Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, located at 6224 Chadbourn Hwy, Chadbourn.
“This collaboration ensures that families in Columbus County and surrounding areas receive essential support. We believe in coming together to close the gap in food access and provide hope where it’s needed most,” said Veronica Brown-Anang, Assistant Executive Director of ACP.
There are no residency, ID r income requirements. Food is distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. ACP encourages community members to arrive early to ensure access to available goods. Please bring your own bags and boxes if possible.
Pop-up markets differ from conventional food distribution events because participants can choose their own groceries. Allowing some freedom to decide what to take home reduces waste and helps ensure families get the meals they enjoy as well as need.
Volunteers are needed for the event. Individuals, families, or groups interested in volunteering can register in advance at:
