Boil Advisory Issued for Old Cribbtown

Water coming out of the faucet

Contractors broke a waterline in County District One this afternoon, and a boil advisory has been issued while repairs are completed.

Affected customers are from F.M. Cartrette to Peacock Road along Old Cribbtown. All water used for human consumption should be boiled vigorously for one minute before use.

Crews will be reversing the flow to complete the repairs, which may release contaminants and cause discoloration.

Customers that experience problems with discolored water should call 910.770.2158. The system should be clear within the next 24 hours. It is recommended that water used for consumption should be boiled during the next 24 hours.
