Here’s today’s Bottom Line
Earlier in the year we had a rain-free streak, and we’re staring at another one. Yesterday was day #13 in Whiteville since our last measurable rain event.
No tricks, just treats in the weather department for today. It’s going to be a bit breezy, and it’ll be noticeably colder than yesterday thanks to a dry cold front that has moved through.
Expect a mix of sunshine and clouds for today with highs around 70.
Halloween festivities this evening will be just fine with temps falling into the 50s by later this evening.
We’re going to have more clouds than sunshine on the whole for Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. There may be a slight chance for showers Sunday night into early Monday for the eastern part of the county, but that’s a bit of a stretch.
Rain chances could increase Thursday and Thursday night … but there’s about as much certainty of that as there is that I win the lottery. Modeling suggests that a system on the southern stream will try to push in our direction with moisture overspreading, but in a change from yesterday, the upper-level pattern displays otherwise. So we’ll just have to wait and see.
