The town of Chadbourn rescinded its boil advisory. The advisory was issued earlier this week after a water main break. Repairs were completed Wednesday, and all tests show normal water quality today.

Two boys were found safe in a tree stand Wednesday morning after spending the night in the woods near Riegelwood. The brothers, ages nine and ten years, disappeared from their home around 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, the sheriff’s office said. Tracking teams and a canine from Brunswick County found the boys about a mile from home. No injuries were reported.

TROPICAL OUTLOOK:  Modeling is hinting at an area of low pressure forming off the coast of Myrtle Beach during the middle of next week.  It’s definitely something to be watching for tropical development.  Keep with CCN Weather Update
