Wife Charged for Hitting Husband with Vehicle

 Deputies charged a woman for assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly hitting her husband with a vehicle, then insisting she go to the hospital.

Tonya Keel, 39, of 816 Williams Rd., Chadbourn, was held under no bond on the single charge, according Detention Center reports.

Deputies were called to a report of a domestic at the Keel residence just after 1 a.m. Wednesday, the report said. Keel and her husband, Daniel, 68, were arguing and Mrs. Keel allegedly struck Keel with her vehicle. The report did not describe his injuries.

Deputies interviewed both spouses, and reviewed surveillance video, then took Mrs. Keel into custody. She was charged with the single count, then asked to be evaluated at the hospital. After she was released she was processed into jail.
