ADR Rescues Eight from Rising Water

ADR firefighters used their swift water rescue

Eight East Arcadia residents had to be rescued from their homes Monday due to rising water.

Chief Steve Carlin of Acme-Delco-Riegelwood Fire and Rescue said firefighters were called to Kennedy Store and Graham roads after rising water trapped residents in their homes.

“All this water we’ve had in the past week has not been good for the low areas,” Camlin said.

Crews used the ADR swift water boat to pull seven people from one home, and were returning to the station when they received a call for help from Graham Road, where a female residents was stuck in her home.

No injuries were reported.
