Women Charged with Shooting at Dogs

Two Tabor City woman were charge with discharging a firearm in the city after allegedly firing a revolver at several dogs.

TCPD were called to 104 E. Bell Street around 11:30 a.m. Saturday to a report of shots being fired, according to the report.

Ptl. J. Waters made contact with Terrie Ward Garrell and Teresa Powell Stanley at the scene. Both women admitted to using a .22 caliber revolver to fire “straight up into the air and at dogs that had walked into the backyard” at the address.

Both women were cited and scheduled to appear in Court Dec. 29.
