
Two teachers and several students were assaulted after a brawl at South Columbus High School Tuesday, according to a sheriff’s report.
Juvenile petitions are being sought after the morning incident, the report said.
Administrators told investigators that a fight outside of the school led to the attack. Several students allegedly entered a classroom and attacked another student, identified as a 16-year-old male. The other students were two males aged 15, a female who is 15, a 17-year-old female, a male aged 17, and a male aged 18.
A teacher who tried to stop the fight was assaulted, the report said, and a second teacher was struck at least once by a student.
All the students were charged with simple affray, the report said, and two were also charged with simple assault.
