Shallotte Police Chief to Retire in 2026

After 30 years of service in Brunswick County, it has been announced that town of Shallotte Police Chief Adam Stanley will retire from his position early in 2026.  Stanley, who is a Shallotte native, took on the role as Police Chief in 2022.  Stanley has also served as an Alderman from 2015 to 2022 when he was hired as Chief.  Stanley’s future plans include pursuing other opportunities within Brunswick County.
