Clarkton Man Charged in Teen Sex Case

Willie Carthell Graham Jr. (BCSO)

Bladen County deputies arrested a Clarkton man after he allegedly forced a 14 year old girl to have sex.

Willie Carthell Graham Jr., who turns 20 years old Wednesday, was held under no bond in the Bladen county Detention Center. He is charged with first degree sex offense, first degree forcible rape, statutory rape of a child, statutory sex offence, sexual bater, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was also charged with felony manufacture of marijuana and possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver the drug, and maintaining a dwelling or vehicle for drug activities. Graham also faces Alcohol Law Enforcement charges for unlawful sale of alcohol. He was on probation at the time of his arrest.

The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office said the juvenile female went missing Dec. 3. Using social media, deputies tracked her down several hours after her disappearance when she was dropped off a short distance from her home, allegedly by Graham.

Graham was arrested in a joint operation by Probation and Parole, Alcohol Law Enforcement, and the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office, the BCSO said.

Earlier this year, Graham allegedly led Whiteville Police on a high speed chase. Those charges are still awaiting trial.
