The N.C. Association of County Commissioners (NCACC) County Risk Group (CRG) Board of Trustees met Dec. 4, in Orange County, where trustees were sworn in for another three-year term and officers for 2026 were elected.
“I am honored to continue serving on the CRG Board of Trustees and look forward to working with my colleagues to support our counties and strengthen our programs in the year ahead,” said Columbus County Manager Eddie Madden, Jr., who was newly sworn in for another three-year term.
During the meeting, the board approved the fiscal year 2024-25 annual audit, quarterly financial statements, administrative fee reconciliation and minimum equity targets for 2026. Trustees also reviewed strategic goals, investment and stewardship reports, and updates on the new Safety Credit Program. Additional topics included regional meeting feedback, law enforcement services and ongoing program enhancement projects.

The association is the official voice of all 100 counties on issues being considered by the General Assembly, Congress, and federal and state agencies. It provides expertise to counties in advocacy, research, risk management, and education and leadership training.
