A fight in the parking lot at a West Columbus basketball game led to a female suspect and two juveniles being charged with assaulting a pregnant woman.
Advaneek Ridgeway, 32, of 22 W. Second St., Chadbourn was held under $2,500 secured bond on charges of assault on a pregnant woman, communicating threats, battery of an unborn child and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, detention center reports show.
Deputies providing security at a Feb. 16 game at WCHS were called out to break up an altercation in the school parking lot, the report said. The dispute began with two individuals and expanded to include multiple people.
Deputies broke up the fight between two juveniles, and no serious injuries were reported. While investigating the case, the deputies interviewed witnesses and reviewed video surveillance footage, leading to the charges against Ridgeway, She was served at the detention center March 3.
