That’s going to increase by about 10 before it rains again. Maybe even more.
The burn ban continues. The drought worsens. Strong high pressure off the coast with impressively strong ridging aloft will keep hot and humid conditions over the area right into next week. We’ll see some clouds from time to time, but that’ll be about it. Record highs are possible Friday and Saturday as we reach the middle and possibly upper 90s. Heat index values will likely touch the Misery Mark of 100 for the first time this season.
