Chadbourn has issued a boil water advisory starting Thursday, due to a planned water shutdown to complete waterline tie-ins on Institute Street.
The outage for the Town of Chadbourn customers will start Thursday, May 28, at 8 p.m. through Friday, May 29, at 4 a.m.
During the outage customers are advised to boil all water used for human consumption (including drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation) or use bottled water.
Vigorous boiling for one minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.
Water customers are strongly urged to conserve water whenever possible. This advisory will remain in effect until further notification is issued.
