Horry Woman Reported Missing

Authorities on both sides of the state line are searching for a woman reported missing from Horry County. Her husband is in jail in New Hanover County on unrelated charges.

Cyrena Anderson, 48, is a white female with blonde hair and brown eyes. She stands 5’3” and weighs around 160 pounds. She was last in contact with family on May 12, according to Horry County Police, and did not show up for work May 14. Mrs. Anderson was reported missing May 19 by her sister.

Her husband, Danny Osborne, told police that Mrs. Anderson gathered her belongings and left home during the early morning hours of May 13.

“Investigators have since discovered evidence that contradicts his account,” HCPD said in a press release.

New Hanover County Detention Center records show Osborne was placed under a $10,000 secured bond for failure to appear, but he is also being held without bond for another agency on seven counts of violating a domestic violence restraining order.

Osborne drives a red F-150 truck and frequents Brunswick and New Hanover counties, HCPD said. He is believed to have been in the Supply and Bolivia areas on N.C. 211 on May 15.

Anyone with information about the missing woman, or who may have seen Osborne’s truck, is asked to call 843.915.8477.

Authorities want to speak with anyone who might have seen this truck in the vicinity of N.C. 211 around May 12-15. (HCPD)
