Layton McLean of the 2026 3A State Championship Whiteville Wolfpack committed to Brunswick Community College this week to continue his academic and baseball career.
McLean was a key member of the championship Wolfpack team, as a pitcher and holding down third base. Layton was named MVP in the three game championship series against East Rutherford. His family and the Pack Nation are excited about his steps into his next journey.
McLean showed why he was the 3A State Champion MVP all season. Whether it was his home run to force a Game Three in the Eastern Finals to beat Midway 5-4, his sponge for a glove at second, or his outstanding pitching performances all season, Senior McLean stepped up. BCC Dolphins Baseball is excited for what McLean will do for them in the future.
