One person was slightly wounded when an altercation turned into a gunfight Saturday.
The sheriff’s office said deputies responded around 10:26 to Spring Meadow Road, Whiteville. Four people were in the home at the time, the report said.
A fight broke out, and the suspect allegedly fired a shot that grazed the victim’s leg. The suspect then fled the scene in a vehicle.
The investigation is continuing.
