Charges have been filed against a man who allegedly ran over another man in June with his vehicle.
Danny Paul Price, 50, of 2327 Slipper Log Rd., Whiteville, is being held under no bond. He was arrested Tuesday on a single charge of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, detention records show.
Deputies were called to Pleasant Plains Baptist Church June 24 after an injured man was reported. They made contact with Joshua Allyn Priest, who told deputies he had been forced from a car, robbed of a firearm and struck by the vehicle. Priest was airlifted to Novant New Hanover with treatment.
After an extensive investigation, detectives identified Price as a potential suspect, and drew a warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody after being interviewed by investigators.
