Here’s today’s Bottom Line

We dodged a good bullet last night with severe weather… the vast majority of which went to our north and northeast. While we still need the rain, we didn’t need the severe winds or tornadoes that reportedly occurred in other portions of our state.

We’re now going to enjoy dry high pressure over the area through the end of the week. This will bring bright sunny skies and seasonably hot temps … nothing extreme … but still pretty hot.

A frontal boundary is modeled to snake along the coastal Carolinas later in the weekend, with a wave of low pressure possibly lifting north along the boundary. That will bring the next likelihood of showers and storms to the area. Plenty of time to fine-tune that part of the forecast.
