Charges are possible after a dog mauled an infant to death in Tar Heel, according to the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office.
The infant’s name and address have not been released.
First responders were called to the home Wednesday around 4:45 p.m. Two dogs were removed from the home by Animal Control, the sheriff’s office said. It is not known if both dogs were involved.
The incident is under investigation by the sheriff’s office, Dept. of Social Services and the District Attorney.
