The suspect fled, but a report of a prowler turned up drugs at the Nakina Dollar General early Friday.
Deputies were dispatched to the store at 4248 Swamp Fox Highway just after 3 a.m. after a report of a suspicious man in the parking lot. The first deputy on scene reported seeing a man on the property as he arrived, but the individual fled on foot into a wooded area.
Where the man had been sitting, deputies found a bag containing needles, a cut straw, drug paraphernalia, and fentanyl.
