Here’s today’s Bottom Line
There is very little to talk about in terms of our local weather. Cool Canadian air has brought our lows down to around 50 early this morning. This will be the case early Sunday morning as well.
The air is extremely dry, which will allow temps to warm up to around 80 or in the lower 80s both today and Sunday. This is right about on par for where we should be this time of year.
Nothing but bright sunny skies by day and clear skies by night through the entire coming work week. Afternoon highs will be up a tick each afternoon… topping off in the upper 80s to possibly around 90 by the end of the work week. There is no precipitation in sight, and drought conditions will start to worsen once again.
TROPICS: In the Atlantic, tropical storms Fay and Gonzalo continue to do their thing. Fay simply refuses to die… but ultimately shear and dry air will win the battle and she will become a memory by the end of the weekend.
Gonzalo will likely survive into the first part of the work week but shear will bring a similar fate.
In the Pacific, I decided to highlight Major Hurricane Polo. This beast, as of this writing, has max sustained winds of 175 mph and wind gusts ~210 mph!! This storm has been pushing the absolute limits of what Earth’s atmosphere can do (in terms of laws of physics).
Polo ultimately is likely to cross Baja California and lift through northwest Mexico into southwest Texas… probably bringing tremendous rainfall to those areas.
