In The Swamp, East Bladen defeated East Columbus 5-1 in soccer on Monday.
Ishaq Algozy scored three goals in the victory for the Eagles (4-2, 8-5-1). East Bladen will host Clinton (11-1-1) on Thursday. East Columbus falls to 1-5 in the Carolina Conference and 3-6-1 on the season. The Gators face Whiteville (4-8-3) in The Swamp on Sept. 30.
In Dublin, West Bladen came back to force a double-overtime tie with Red Springs 2-2 on Monday. Jason Paniagua and Levi Velasco scored for the Knights to tie the game for overtime.
The Knights (1-0-1, 10-2-3) will travel to South Columbus (0-2, 1-14) to face the Stallions on Wednesday. Red Springs (1-1-1, 3-8-2) will travel to Whiteville (0-2, 4-8-3) in a Southeastern Conference battle.
At Boiling Springs, the Cougars crushed South Columbus 10-1 on Monday. South Brunswick is now 3-0 in the Southeastern Conference and 4-8-3 on the year. They will take on the West Bladen Knights (1-0-1, 10-2-3) in Dublin on October 5 in a key Southeastern Conference battle. South Columbus (0-2, 1-14) will host West Bladen on Wednesday.
