Here’s today’s Bottom Line

There continues to be precious little to talk about in the weather department. This will remain the case right through the weekend into early next week.

We’re still “pinched” between the nor’easter off the coast and a large ridge of high pressure to our west. This will keep a cool northerly flow in place.

The nor’easter is expected to continue to meander while drifting northward through Thursday. It will then be given a hard shove to the northeast and away. There is the chance that it takes on subtropical characteristics, but that doesn’t really mean much to us here in Columbus County.

High pressure remains firmly locked in place. This will keep crystal clear skies, dry weather, and cooler-than-normal temps through the weekend. A reinforcing surge of cooler air drops south over the Great Lakes later this week.

Model blends show zero precipitation over our area through next Tuesday evening.
