A head-on collision on Hallsboro Road South near Barney Tyler Road claimed one man’s life Friday afternoon. Tabor City’s Burger King was heavily damaged in an early morning fire Friday (Dec. 13). Tabor City Fire Chief Jeff Fowler said workers were preparing to start the day just after 6 a.m. when they began smelling smoke.
