Investigators have arrested a fourth suspect in $100,000 theft ring that spanned three counties. Matthew Wayne Hurst, John Michael McDonald, Shayna Logue, and Joseph Reinhart all face multiple felonies in the case, according to a release from the sheriff’s office. The release said the suspects committed multiple larcenies in Bladen, Columbus and Robeson counties.   Developing story Several trees are reported down at Lake Waccamaw, and a shed has collapsed at Galloway Farms Maze Craze due to the current storm. The storm is producing frequent and dangerous lightning. A transformer at Lake Waccamaw was also reported out, leaving 173 homes without power. Vice-Narcotics detectives arrested a man on drug charges after an Aug. 11 traffic stop. Roger Dale Reaves, 59, of 3288 Gore Trailer Rd., Whiteville, was held under $3,500 secured bond, according to detention center reports. He faces charges of felony maintaining a vehicle for drug activity, simple possession of suboxone tablets, and possession of drug paraphernalia, the sheriff’s office said in a press release.
