COVID deaths hit 40 here

The Columbus County Health Department has multiple resources for dealing with COVID-19 on its social media platforms.

The latest victim died in hospital, according to the Health Department.

One more person has died from COVID-19 in Columbus County, and 34 new cases were reported today (Monday), according to the Health Department.

The latest death brings the toll to 40 since March, and 34 cases were reported as part of the county’s twice weekly update. Total number of cases in the county as of Monday os 701, with eight in the hospital. Four new cases were reported July 16, 12 on July 17, seven on July 18, one on July 19, and ten today (Monday).
