Two of the handguns stolen during a Whiteville break-in last year were recovered last week, according to Whiteville Police.

Lt. Andre Jackson said one handgun was found when WPD and Alcohol Law Enforcement agents arrested three people who were sitting in a convenience store parking lot drinking alcohol.

In addition to the stolen Glock 45 9mm, officers seized a large number and variety of illegal drugs.
The second handgun, a Smith and Wesson 9mm, was recovered when Wright County, Minn. officers stopped a man from Latta, S.C.

The thief in the Country Boys break-in smashed his way through a front glass door and filled a child’s book bag with handguns in September.
