Premier Living worker charged with ATM use

A careworker at a Lake Waccamaw care facility has been charged with exploiting a elderly person.

April Nicole Bass, 34, was released on $6,000 unsecured bond on two charges of exploiting an elderly adult. Her address was listed on jail reports as 2002 S. Madison St., Whiteville.

Bass is alleged to have used the ATM cards owned by two different residents of Premier Living at Lake Waccamaw, where she was employed. In both cases, the cards were used multiple times without the permission of the owners, according to court documents.
Lake Waccamaw Police investigated the case.
