Mr. Roger Dale Soles, 70, a resident of Cerro Gordo, died at his resident on October 8, 2021.
He was born in Mullins, Marion County, SC on January 23, 1951; a son of the late Alvie and Geneva Fowler Soles.
Mr. Soles was a retired farmer by trade, but he also worked in the manufacturing industry.
A Funeral Service will be conducted on Monday, October 11, 2021 at 3:00 pm at the Powell Cemetery in Fair Bluff, NC with the Rev. Tim Moore and Rev. Jeff Stocks officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Lila Green Soles of the home; sons, Alvin Soles and his significant other, Monique of Lake Waccamaw, Reggie Soles and his wife Veronica, of Whiteville, and Bryon Soles of Cerro Gordo; a daughter, Holly Soles of the home; a sister, Barbara Todd of Chadbourn; a grandson, Aaron Soles and a granddaughter, Madisynn Soles. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ila Pearl Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be directed to the Porter Swamp Baptist Church, PO Box 98, Cerro Gordo, NC 28430 or to Cedar Grove Baptist Church, 2372 Cedar Grove Church Road, Cerro Gordo, NC 28430.
The family will receive friends on Sunday evening, October 10, 2021 at Meares Funeral Home in Fair Bluff from 7-9 pm.
