Darnell Roscoe McKenzie, 53, formerly of Whiteville, died Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at Atrium Health Mercy Hospital in Charlotte.
He was the son of Starlin McKenzie and the late Ruth Faison McKenzie.
The funeral will be 1:00 PM Saturday, December 4, on the lawn across the street from Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 5548 Silver Spoon Road, Whiteville, by Pastor Timothy A. Lance. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Viewing will be Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Peoples Funeral Chapel in Whiteville and at the funeral Saturday 30 minutes prior to the service.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his daughters, Laina Clark and Jada McKenzie of Stallings; son, Jordan McKenzie of Stallings; sisters, Phyllis Cromartie of Nakina, Rosemary Bowser of Matthews, Thomasina McKenzie and April McKenzie of Fayetteville; brothers, Starlin McKenzie, Jr. of Elizabethtown, Ardell McKenzie and Chester McKenzie of Whiteville.
